Connect an Instagram professional account linked to a Facebook Page. Customers DM that account; your agent replies with the same grounded answers as your website. Comments, story replies, and comment-to-DM automations are out of scope — this is inbox DMs only, through Meta's official Instagram Messaging API. Production traffic also needs Meta App Review on your Meta app; until then only testers with an app role can message it.

Set it up in three steps

    Link an Instagram professional account to a Facebook Page and add Instagram messaging on your Meta app

    Paste the Page access token and app secret in Connectors; copy the webhook URL and verify token into Instagram webhook settings

    Send a test DM from an allowed tester; public DMs work after Meta App Review for instagram_manage_messages
